Yep, I call that chord progression the box pattern, fingers 3 and 4 stay planted. The same concept for Wonderwall, except Wonderwall has a few different chords. But you are correct, it's the same concept.

Hi Terry, thanks for the request. I have played that tune before, it's open C tuning. You can play it in standard tuning but it doesn't have the same 'rub' of notes. I'll add it to my list of tutorial songs.

Hi Christine, thanks for tuning in. I have my right hand curled in and I am using my fingernails to strum the strings. If you are used to using a pick, go for it. It might feel weird at first to use your fingernails as a brush (brushing the strings). What is important is the timing...making sure you land the chords on the correct beats. Try a pick if that works for you. I hope that helps. Cheers

hi, this lesson is intended for beginner students. Doing barre chords as a beginner is super hard. The notes in this chord from the D string down are F, Bb,D and F. The root note on the 4th string is an F note, which is the 5th of a Bb chord. This chord is Bb but in an inversion and it works super well if you are struggling to play a barre chord. :)
